1. Who we are
This website is operated by Black Eagle Tyres ("we", "us", "our"), of TODO_PLACEHOLDER_REGISTERED_ADDRESS (company number TODO_PLACEHOLDER_COMPANY_NUMBER, if applicable). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
2. Information we collect
We collect personal data in the following ways:
- Information you give us directly — when you call us, fill in a quote or contact form, or message us, including your name, phone number, vehicle registration, and location/address.
- Call data — we use Twilio to manage and track phone calls. This may include call recordings, call metadata (time, duration, number dialled), and, where relevant to a booking, details discussed during the call.
- Messaging data — if you contact us via WhatsApp, we receive the messages you send and your WhatsApp-registered phone number.
- Website usage data — collected automatically via cookies and tags (see our Cookie Policy), including pages visited, device/browser information, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Payment information — if you pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, payment is processed by TODO_PLACEHOLDER_PAYMENT_PROCESSOR; we do not store full card details ourselves.
3. How we use your information
We use your personal data to:
- Respond to quote requests and arrange tyre fitting or roadside assistance callouts
- Communicate with you about a booking, including dispatch updates
- Process payments for services provided
- Improve our website and services, including through analytics
- Measure and improve the performance of our advertising (where you've consented to analytics/advertising cookies)
- Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations
4. Our legal basis for processing
We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
- Contract — to arrange and deliver the tyre fitting or roadside assistance service you've requested.
- Legitimate interests — for call recording/quality purposes, fraud prevention, and improving our services.
- Consent — for non-essential analytics and advertising cookies, which you can accept or decline via our cookie banner.
- Legal obligation — where we need to retain or disclose information to comply with the law.
5. Who we share your data with
We share personal data with the following categories of third party, strictly as needed to provide our services:
- Twilio — for call tracking, call routing, SMS and WhatsApp messaging infrastructure.
- Google — for website analytics (Google Analytics), advertising measurement (Google Ads), and tag management (Google Tag Manager).
- WhatsApp / Meta — where you choose to contact us via WhatsApp.
- Payment processors — TODO_PLACEHOLDER_PAYMENT_PROCESSOR, to process card, Apple Pay or Google Pay payments.
- Our technicians — who need your contact and location details to carry out a callout.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers (including Twilio and Google) may process data outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure your data continues to be protected to UK standards.
7. How long we keep your data
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Call recordings and booking records are typically retained for TODO_PLACEHOLDER_RETENTION_PERIOD before being deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data, in certain circumstances
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent (e.g. cookies)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we have not handled your data correctly.
9. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. For full details on what we use and how to manage your preferences, see our Cookie Policy.
10. Children's data
Our services are intended for adults arranging vehicle-related assistance. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
